Older Women Weight Loss Dilemmas

By Connie Limon One of the best ways to ensure you will not have to compromise between saving your butt or face is to maintain an appropriate weight throughout all your lifetime. Exercise and eat right then when old age comes around there wont be these sudden decisions of which to save your butt or your face. In this article let us take a glance at some of the more comical sides of the equation. There is an old clich that unfortunately is true. When it comes to losing weight, an older woman will have to choose between saving “her butt or her face.” This refers to the idea that if you lose too much weight your face may look more haggard and wrinkles may be emphasized. You could get rid of a double chin and end up with a flapping turkey neck instead. Jowls that have lost their pads of fat could hang and gaunter cheekbones could create a ghoulish or wolfish look on an older face. Eyes could appear more sunken and the skin could lose its dewy sense of tautness. Often older faces that have lost too much weight appear cadaverous or as if they are continually remembering the pain part of another old expression “no pain no gain.” The truth is that a fatter face often looks much younger than a gaunt face. The extra fat pockets plump out hollows in just the right places creating a youthful appearance. Wrinkles and expression lines such as crow’s feet are simply less noticeable and often the skin texture on a plumper woman is simply smoother and healthier looking. On the other hand, if you keep enough weight on you could end up with a rear end or thighs that are much larger than you originally desired. Notice that many older women with beautiful line free visages and gorgeous complexions usually tend to be apple shaped or pear shaped in their lower body. So are there any remedies for this all too familiar paradox? Do you really have to sacrifice your looks for a smaller rear end? Does it really have to be one or the other? Unfortunately the older you are the more inescapable this sordid truth is. You either settle for being slightly heavier or you can spend thousands of dollars on anti -aging serums and plastic surgery to get rid of excess skin and wrinkles caused by the weight loss. Or you can opt to have plumper, less lined features and spend a ton of money getting liposuction on your tummy, thighs and rear end. If you have a bit of booty you are right with the in group as has been demonstrated by sexy superstars such as Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. Keep in mind that there are also many celebrities who buy padding to insert into their underwear to keep their backsides looking plump and well rounded. This seems so unnecessary when all these “stick insects with mascara” (as Bridget Jones called them) could easily achieve this by consuming a few good meals. If you want to be “cool” you will go for having a slightly bigger butt and a younger face. Although being thinner is healthier then being too fat, the best compromise is to be the healthiest weight for your age and body shape. Keep in mind too that the people that look the youngest, no matter what their weight, are those that are the happiest and not stressed out by things like calorie restricted diets, painful plastic surgery or even caring too much what other people think. Get plenty of rest and drink plenty of water daily. These are two of the most important skin and beauty products you can apply to yourself. Dont abuse your body with drugs and alcohol. When old age comes around you will be so glad you practice these simple health tips and the truth of whether or not you have taken care of yourself will show in both your face and your booty. Great Ideas for Prettying Up Cookie Tins

By Lisa Koosis Sometimes plain, sometimes garish, cookie tins come in all shapes and sizes. And who among us hasn’t picked up a few at the dollar store, or received one with a sweet treat inside. But what do you do with the tin once the cookies have been eaten? Don’t throw those cookie tins away. If you’re willing to put in a little time and effort to spice them up, the result is often spectacular. Here are some easy ideas for making a tin worth displaying. - Cover it in pretty paper! Decoupage, the art of covering an object in pieces of paper or fabric, is easy enough that most folks can pick up the techniques quickly enough. With your choice of paper, you can make a beautiful tin using this technique. You’ll want to purchase Mod Podge (available at any craft store), which will act as a sealer, glue and finisher for your piece. Choose whatever papers appeal to you. Leftover gift-wrap is a great option. You can also cut out photos and artwork from old magazines. If you don’t have any paper available, you can purchase bags of papers in assorted shapes and sizes in the papercraft aisle of your local craft store. - Stickers aren’t just for kids anymore. Most craft stores have an aisle dedicated to stickers. You can find stickers in just about any shape or design, and some are quite ornate. For a solid-colored tin, just a well-placed sticker or two could make a world of difference. Plus, this is a great option for kids. - Bows and other baubles. Grab out your hot glue gun. With an assortment of baubles and bows, you can create a wonderful, artsy-looking tin. Try gluing a selection of brightly-colored buttons onto the top of your tin. Or maybe some feather butterflies or silk leaves are more to your taste. These are only a few quick possibilities. Don’t hesitate to combine techniques. For example, decoupage the bottom of your tin and glue buttons onto the top. And why not visit the craft store for more ideas. With a small investment of time and lots of heart and creativity, you can make a tin that’s perfect for keeping your favorite trinkets in. Business Cards - Untapped Sales Potential

By Frank Owen Many people overlook business cards when marketing and advertising their business. Unfortunately this is one of the costliest mistakes you can make. Business cards are a simple and inexpensive tool that can help make or break a business. Here are just a few things you can use business cards for: - As an icebreaker at a meeting or tradeshow or get to know people even at your local coffee shop. - Networking with other industry leaders or business people. - Improve your business image and professionalism by presenting clients and potential clients with an easily accessible resource with your contact information. - Communicate with strangers who may unknowingly need your service at some future point in time. - Introduce yourself in a crowded meeting or environment that may stimulate future business.. - Promote your business or a grand opening. - Indirect marketing that is cheap, low pressure yet effective. - Differentiate yourself from the crowd by soliciting important details about your business. - Increase the recall rate of customers. Think of all the people you have met in your life. If you passed a business card around to each of them that offered them something unique, distinct and memorable think about how much greater your profit margin may be. Every business card you hand out is a new opportunity to expand and grow your business. Hence any time you fail to use a business card you are potentially losing customers. Domestic Violence And Depression

By Steve Hill More and more people are reporting incidents of domestic violence to the police. If you are a victim of domestic violence you will be aware of just how frightening it can be. The question that many people ask is what are the causes of this violence, is the person just a lunatic or are there other reasons behind it. According to the latest reports alcohol has a large part to play in leading to cases of domestic violence. In the example of a husband hitting his wife when he is drunk, this is typically what can happen. For the sake of making this article easier to read, I shall call the husband John and his wife Linda. John is a really nice guy when sober. Linda is very much in love with him and hopes that they will grow old together. John is a great father to their two children, is helpful around the house and is a great cook. The problem occurs after he has had rather too much to drink. John now becomes a whole different person, he starts to accuse his wife of having an affair, becomes abusive and very angry. Linda realising he is drunk attempts to walk away to leave John to his bad mood, this only adds however to his anger and he starts to become violent. The next morning John can not believe what he has done and is full of regret and remorse. He can not say sorry enough and begs for Linda’s forgiveness. He promises that it will never happen again and states that he will give up the alcohol if that would make his wife happy. Linda is not sure what to do, she would love to forgive and forget but feels that it is very likely that it only happen again in the future if she does. In many cases people like Linda will forgive their partner or husband a number of times before eventually losing patience with them. My advice for John would be to stop drinking alcohol straight away. This seems to be the cause of all of these problems, therefore you need to find something else to have an interest in. Another cause of domestic violence is known to be depression. Some people who are normally very relaxed can become very angry and abusive when in a deep state of depression. They can take their problems and frustrations out on their partner much like in the example above. A few days or weeks later when the person in question is feeling a lot happier, they will not believe what they have done. Whether it is because of depression or alcohol, one solution to this domestic violence problem could be to attend some form of anger management program, that is for people like John. Aviation Accident Lawyers & Lawsuits

By Todd Going Although todays air travel is one of the safest forms of transportation, aviation accidents still happen and can become a living nightmare for those involved. There are many reasons that aviation accidents happen and they can all vary greatly depending on specific circumstances and problems that occur during the flight process. Some of the accidents that occur deal with taxi and takeoff, descent and landing, mechanical failures, pilot error, poor weather and fuel mismanagement. Many people believe that aviation accidents can simply be caused by bad luck, however in many of the cases researched; the accidents could have been avoided all together. If the pilot and flight crew can perform their jobs without and mistakes, an aviation accident is much less likely to occur. An aviation lawsuit involves a lengthy process which requires an experienced level of expertise. Litigation in the aviation industry generally involves expert witnesses with specific knowledge in certain aspects of aviation such as air traffic control, engine design and mechanics. These lawsuits are generally directed towards pilots or manufacturers of aircrafts, however sometimes pilot error can be blamed for accidents along with defective or malfunctioning machinery. Since planes are mass produced, if there are malfunctioning parts in one of the planes, theres a chance that all of the models will have this defective part. Business Loans to Reveal the Entrepreneur in You

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Carry]John Carry The biggest requirement of any business, big or small, is money. There are a number of lenders who provide capital for your business in the form of loan. These are termed as business loans and are very popular in the market. Business loans are a good way to raise capital, whether to set up a new business or mere expanding your existing enterprise. Business loans may be secured or unsecured. It depends upon you to choose from the two, as both these loans have their own advantages and drawbacks. A secured business loan is meant for homeowners who can pledge their house to the lender as a security. In return, secured business loans fetch you lower rates of interest, along with flexible terms and long repayment duration. Lower interest rates make the repayment procedure easier and affordable. But there is a risk that if you discontinue your repayments, your house may be repossessed by the lender. Unsecured [http://www.ask4loan.co.uk/business-loan.html target=_blank]business loans are safe and involve less hassle. Since no collateral is mandatory, thus no property evaluation troubles and less documentation mark the feature of an unsecured business loan. But a high interest rate and short repayment duration compensate to the other benefits of these loans, which is due to the risk borne by the lender. If you are a homeowner, then both unsecured and secured business loans are open to you. Before availing the loan, you should equip yourself with information regarding your business, including tax bills, your business plan, expected turnover etc. An online market survey would help you find competitive rates on business loan packages, and then you may pick out the loan plan that suits you best. Food, Spurious Food

By Luke Haines The other day, my mother, who compulsively shops for anything you can think of, bought me a bag of sunflower seeds, as I went through a phase of eating them about a decade ago. First of all, this was a completely redundant gesture, as they were just the seeds, and everyone knows that sunflowers seeds taste of absolutely nothing at all, and the only pleasure to be derived from them is cracking the zebra-coloured shell to extract them. No good deed is without merit, however, and in eating them I did manage an idea, which, as those who know me will tell you, is a laborious and taxing process at best. According to the packaging (which, perhaps naively, I find no reason to doubt) these sunflower seeds were bought in a branch of Boots and are part of a “meal deal.” Now who, exactly, aside from perhaps squirrels and other small fluffy mammals, would ever consider sunflower seeds a “meal” ? Granted, perhaps Boots receive a lot of custom from numerous pigeons and small tits, but this still doesn’t explain how I ended up with them as my mother doesn’t even HAVE small tits. Sorry, I seem to have digressed and in doing so swerved perilously close to the territory of the “fat momma” joke, which I’ll avoid. Meanwhile, back on the subject at hand, why is Boots (are Boots? is Boots? I hate shops with no apostrophes) selling food in the first place?! If a butcher had a deal on moisturiser and sun-tan lotion, I think I personally would give it a miss, but somehow a shop that’s know for medicines and cosmetics has started offering meals and none of us has batted an eyelid. Food in general, now that I mention it, has been getting stranger, lately. McDonalds, in a frankly ludicrous attempt to improve it’s image, has started offering salads as a direct result of Morgan Spurlock’s “Super Size Me.” Something about this bothers me, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Kudos to Mr. Spurlock for shaking an empire to it’s core, it’s impressive by any standards and far more than the more high-profile Michael Moore has managed to do. (Although one does suspect Moore eats all his meals at McDonalds and just forgot to film it…) McDonalds, though, is about grease. It’s about grease, and junk, and things that will, probably, give you a McCoronary sometime before you make it back to your car A coronary which, by all accounts, you can make bigger and more life threatening for a bargain 30p. McDonalds isn’t SUPPOSED to offer good food. Everyone knows that McDonalds is bland and bad for you, in the same way we know that alcohol is bad for us and we’ll all regret it in the morning. Several months ago I thought I’d have a go at a McDonalds chocolate donut, and it was f*cking horrible. I remember remarking to those around me in my witty, Wilde-esque style, “This is f*cking ‘orrible.” Doesn’t matter. I still have one whenever I go in, now, and they’re still terrible. My point is this: NOBODY goes to McDonalds for a salad. In fact, I wouldn’t trust anyone who did. I think I’ll add that to my list of character indicators. Never listen to anyone who doesn’t like “Columbo”, and never trust anyone who goes to McDonalds for a salad. Salads go against the whole POINT of McDonalds, and I personally think that they should have more balls than to run for cover when their “secret” gets out. Tobacco companies have known for years that cigarettes kill you, as have the public, but they don’t suddenly branch out and start a new line of Malboro Lollipops as a healthy alternative. Another thing that’s worried my lately, food-wise, is the reappearance of Pepperami. For those too young to remember, or those living in another country, Pepperami is best described as a stick of peppered meat in a wrapper. I’ve always been bothered by them, principally because nobody has yet proved to my satisfaction that it isn’t just the spiced penis of some unknown animal that the snack-hungry public has sent rocketing towards extinction, but over the years I sort of forgot about them. Now, all signs (TV adverts, posters, the Beast running loose in the streets of Bethlehem) point to it coming back. We should be on our guard. Now, some people may level the fair and accurate criticism at me that everything I write has no real structure; that I’m prone to going off on tangents and that I always end abruptly and inconclusively. This is true. To these people, however, I say that if you can find another article on the web that goes from Sunflower seeds to animal penis by way of a chocolate donut, then good luck to you! By Robina Hearle You may know or most probably do not that there are over seventy British Flower essence producers. In Britain we have flower and vibrational essence producers that most likely cover between them every nuance of mental, emotional and spiritual life that we could possibly need. We do not need to look further afield. We have huge experience and knowledge, creativity and flair between us. Many British essence producers have been formulating their essences for ten to fifteen years and in one case since 1967. We have producers that make essences from trees, flowers, crystals places sea life and shore as well as many excellent channelled varieties. The variety ranges and creativity is outstanding. British people are not always good at blowing their own trumpets or making a show, but it is time to make a stand and say to the world hey look at us. Buy British. Most certainly British Flower essence Production is here to stay and its a growth industry. There are also numerous flower essence therapists in the country. Some have only been trained in the Bach system, whilst others have a wider remit and use many ranges of essences. Some therapists are not aware of the huge choice and collective resources of the the British flower essence producers. I would encourage you to look and you will find it well worth it! Times are changing; people are evolving rapidly, for many huge core issues are emerging. As therapists we need all the tools in this case choice of essences available to us so we can do the very best for our clients. To have available or the knowledge of the potential of where we can find the right essence for a person is invaluable. Many other therapists such as kiniesiologists and radionics practioners and some homeopaths are using essences and I suggest that we encourage them to look at the home grown market. Maui: A Prime Wedding Destination

By Kevin Stith Most visitors to Hawaii would agree that Maui is the most beautiful of all the settled islands there. For your wedding ceremony, for that special day youll remember for the rest of your lives, theres no better location than Maui. When most people think of Maui, one of the first things that come to mind are the beaches — Maui has some of the most picturesque, beautiful beaches anywhere in the world, making it a popular location for a beach wedding. In addition to the many beaches available, the choices of Maui wedding locations are unequaled in their diversity and natural splendor. If its a mountain, desert or jungle setting you seek, its available on Maui. Some of the most beautiful hotels in the world are located on the island and many of them offer wedding settings from the sublime to the most lavish you could possibly imagine. As well as a diverse choice of settings, any type of wedding service, from the most traditional to the most eclectic, can be arranged on Maui. There have been underwater services where the minister, the bride and groom are in scuba diving gear, taking their vows on chalkboards below the ocean surface. People who are not Hawaiian have gotten married in native Hawaiian ceremonies at the foot of active volcanoes. Others have said I Do in an airplane and then jumped thousands of feet to the ground where their wedding party was eagerly awaiting their arrival. Theres almost no ceremony or setting you could want that couldnt be found or arranged somewhere on the beautiful Hawaiian Island of Maui. How to Win With Women by Taking Them Shopping

By Don Diebel This week I want to talk about a subject I personally hate and a subject the majority of single women are obsessed with. What is this subject that most men hate to do and most women love to do? It’s shopping. I swear that women are born to shop and I’m sure that you will agree. My disliking shopping goes back to my childhood. My mom liked to shop just like most women. Being that she was a single mom, she had to drag me along with her when she went shopping. I always hated to go and I can remember always bugging her with, “Mommy, when are we leaving?” or “Mommy, I want to go home.” And so here I am many years later and I still hate to go shopping. It brings back childhood memories and there’s nothing I hate worse than hanging out at a mall all day. I can think of much better things to do with my time. In past relationships with women, I would just wait in the car while my girlfriends would just shop till they dropped. To this day, I still can’t figure out why women like to shop so much. They seem to be constantly buying new clothes and accessories. They will wear something just a few times and it’s time to buy something new. Lot of clothes just hang in the closet and never get worn. Are you like me? Do you hate to shop and the clothes you do have, you tend to wear them over and over? Do you just have 3 or 4 pair of shoes? Compare this to the average woman who has dozens of shoes. So, what is the point I’m trying to make guys? What in the hell does shopping have to do with succeeding with single women? Well, my friend, shopping can really help you to win the hearts of women and I’ll tell you why. Being that they are so obsessed with shopping, offer to take them shopping for a date. Sure, it may set you back 50-100 bucks or more, but I can assure you that it will be well worth it. You will make one hell of an impression on her and it can help you win her love for you. You can’t buy a woman’s love, but you can sure make her admire you for buying her something. Plus, you will have an edge over other men by taking her shopping. Most men don’t take women on a shopping date. You will stand out among the other men she has dated. So, my friend, try this technique to win the hearts of women and make a lasting impression. She will love you for it! This article written by Don Diebel (Americas #1 Singles Expert).
